Extra day
to remember
they’re dwindling.

“A couple of months after I learned how to meditate, things got better for me.”
Check out my short story, WHISKEY SOUR, over on Chris Lusher’s Hillbilly Magazine. Lusher is a phenomenal talent who’s going to be a having a show with Max Snow this spring; I’m always happy to be in his magazine (Which, by the way, he plans on turning into a print mag soon).
This story is the title story of an upcoming collection of mine, to be published by Nervous Puppy publishing in April. Another story from the book is going to be appearing in Rusty Nail magazine in a few weeks.
The
old feelings
become
new
quickly.
Exhausted.
Must
progress.
Press on, kid.
Sometimes
it goes
to the best.
It’s
getting closer.
I feel it.
Publishing fast
as
the ink
dries.
Remembering
beedies
and cloves
and cigars.
The
accomplishments
don’t
make it better.
Many
red
rejections.
One
green
acceptance.
Projecting
our bullshit
on
everyone else.
Be proud
of
your work, regardless.
Ideas pouring
out
like
cheap whiskey.
Drinking German bier
, singing strange songs.
Sending
the manuscript
out
for reviews.
